Baptism illustrates Christ´s burial, resurrection, and new life as a Christian.

Baptism doesn’t make you a believer — it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring — it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart.​​​​​

Every person who has believed in Christ should be baptized.

What about baptizing children or babies? The Bible only  speaks of people old enough to make a decision to place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Children, who are old enough to be saved and completely understand that baptism does not save them, must have their parents’ permission for baptism.​

The word Baptize means “To dip

under water.

 

Jesus was baptized by immersion and every baptism mentioned in the Bible was by immersion. We should be baptized to follow the example set by Christ and because Christ commands it This is beautiful step of obedience towards following the Lord.
